Session 3: Empowering your teen for impact

Does your teen know that they can make a positive impact on the world and in the lives of others?

Barna research has shown time and again that Gen Z is extremely justice-driven. Today’s teens are not afraid to speak up about injustice in the world, to point out things that are not right, and to rally together toward a solution.

When people think about making an impact, the first thing that might come to mind are national issues (racial justice, poverty, the climate crisis, etc.) that spur large-scale movements. But impact can be made on a smaller scale too, and this is just as important.

In this session, Danielle Strickland (speaker, author, and justice advocate) hits on the topic of empowerment and how we can, and should, encourage our teens to do good. She discusses what might hold teens back from wanting to make an impact, how parents can empower their teens to pursue justice and loving acts, and the power of surrendering to God’s plan for your teen’s life.
